Ship Ahoy!

Has Spring finally arrived? We’re not sure, but we are happy to announce that the return of The Hesperus is finally happening. We send our heartfelt thanks to everyone who’s written to us and supported us as we were forced from the airwaves at the end of last year. We just hope you’re still out there and open to listening and getting involved once more.

You’re in the right place anyway: this website is where you’ll find our new programmes. We won’t be live on the radio anymore, but we will be posting a weekly episode here, at 7pm every Sunday evening, though you’ll be able to listen to it whenever you like. Also wherever you are – so we can hopefully welcome back some of our overseas listeners with whom we lost touch last summer.

Have a listen to Iain’s intro – just to check everything’s working! – and we’ll have Episode 1 uploaded and ready to launch on Sunday 19th of April. Please do get in touch – we’re very much looking forward to catching up. We’re still on Facebook, now also on Instagram, plus you can use the contact form on this website, or you can add comments to the bottom of these pages. Or you can email Iain at captain@iainandersonradio.online. Is that enough? If not, we can brush up on our semaphore and Morse code.

Next post will be the features for Episode 1. It’s getting exciting. Start engines!

Yours
Captain & Crew

  • How fabulous to have you back Captain! I’m sure all of your loyal listeners will be tuning in to the new show. Personally I can’t wait, there’s been a dreadful hole in my listening schedule this year.

  • Silly me: It took an inordinate amount of time for me to find the Intro. (Yes, well, I’m old, and not as computer-savvy as I used to be. Oh yes, and in Canada.) And Huzzah! for the return of the Hesperus. The Seneguy and I are over the moon (shall we say?) that the Captain is back.

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Brilliant to have you back, like so many others Beth & l have missed your excellent programmes. Best Wishes from Sunndal, Norway 🇳🇴👩‍❤️‍👨🇳🇴

  • This is absolutely wonderful news. Can‘t wait for the new show to start. Bon voyage to the seasoned crew of the Hesperus. And may the sailing be smooth and may fair winds always blow your way.

Best wishes from Bad Fallingbostel in Lower Saxony !

  • Welcome back. You have been sorely missed , and I am sure not just by me either

  • Best wishes for your new endeavour, Iain – it will be great to have you back on the airwaves where you belong.

  • Welcome back. Looking forward to the ‘sailings’ again. Fair wind and good luck.

  • I am on your website at 19:17 but unable to connect to anything bar your introduction

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Good Morning Captain, we have just listened to your 2nd marvellous sailing & can we say how Wonderful it is to hear you & your brilliant playlists again. Beth had the good fortune to hear & meet Wendy Stewart in Lillehammer Norway in 1993. If you could play a track of your choosing from her 1st album “About Time” on a future show it would be most appreciated. Best Wishes Malcolm & Beth in Sunndal 🇳🇴👩‍❤️‍👨🇳🇴
