Sonic Bull Ltd was established as a production company in 2025 to build on the team’s many years of successful radio production, mostly making programmes for the BBC in Scotland.
Iain Anderson – Iain has graced the airwaves in Scotland for over half a century, including 40 years on BBC Radio Scotland. An aficionado of music, poetry, drama, history and rugby, Iain is loved for his rich voice and the warmth of his company. On his late-night shows he became known as the Captain, at the helm of the mythic Hesperus, and that’s the voyage that continues here.
Richard Bull – Richard has been making radio programmes since 1998, specialising in music. He also teaches radio production at university and runs Glad Radio, a community podcasting charity in the southside of Glasgow.
Moira Maciver – Moira has a long track record working in broadcasting in Scotland, specialising in music and in Gaelic. She’s been a crew member of the Hesperus since 2006.
Lorne MacDougall – Lorne is responsible for our website, and also happens to be one of Scotland’s finest pipers, celebrated for his distinctive mastery and innovation on the bagpipes and whistle.
