Adam, Sandy and Paul

This week our featured artist is Adam Ross, sometimes of the band Randolph’s Leap, but often nowadays to be found recording and performing solo – with, it should be said, some fine musical accompanists. Adam’s been making warm and highly literate music for the best part of 20 years.

Speaking of going solo, the featured archive album is Sandy, the second – and maybe the best – solo album by Sandy Denny. Sandy was, says Richard Thompson, “the most important singer of my generation, no one has come along to touch her since”.

And the featured songwriter is Paul Simon, who just last weekend played two nights in Glasgow, almost certainly his farewell Scottish shows – and he’s been coming to Scotland for over 60 years!

Hope you can tune in, at a time to suit, and do share with us any thoughts on the features and indeed anything else.
