Delighted to say that we caught up with Steve Tilston this week. He was touring Scotland, and the Kaiser made it to his gig at the Nova Scotia Folk Club in Bishopbriggs, and recorded Steve telling us about his musical touchstones, his latest album and his family. The album, Last Call, has been billed as Steve’s last, but does this mean retirement is on the cards? Tune in to find out.
Plus as we’ve only recently come across the music of the New Jersey singer-songwriter Carsie Blanton, we thought we’d dig deeper and feature a few songs. At a time when it’s difficult to know how to channel politics into art, Carsie manages it with aplomb. She’s a breath of fresh air.
