Many thanks for all your comments, it’s hard to keep track of them all, but we’re trying. Delighted that the first show went down well (and was only slightly delayed while we figured out what time zone we’re in).
So we’re all set to launch the second episode. The features are as follows…
Featured artist is Kris Drever, whose new album Doing This For Love is just out. Kris is well established now as one of our leading musicians, singers and songwriters.
The featured archive album is going to be our way to pay tribute to Moya Brennan, by choosing Fuaim by Clannad. Released in 1982, it’s a significant step on Clannad’s journey from family folk group to Celtic hitmakers. And there’s another reason for choosing this one, which will become apparent.
Featured songwriter is Phil Ochs, who like Bob Dylan arrived in New York at the beginning of the 1960s to make it as a folksinger. Many of the protest songs remain relevant. So we’ll have a sequence of these political songs, but also a sequence of his more personal ones. Tragically Phil Ochs died, aged just 35, 50 years ago this month.
Hopefully we’ll manage to squeeze in some more songs too, from the past and the present. See you there. Embarkation begins at 7pm on Sunday.

Martyn Joseph did an album of Phil Ochs’ songs as a tribute to him. Worth a listen
