  • Love that Sinead Lohan version. Saw her live supporting The Blue Nile at The Usher Hall Edinburgh but off the scene now I think

  • 24th of May was “the Queen’s Birthday” when I was a child in Ontario. I wanted to claim the 25th as my ‘half-birthday’ which makes me almost exactly six months younger than Dr Zim 😉

    Happy Birthday Bob!
    Brilliant playlist, Captain & Crew!

  • Dear Iain and the crew.
The Bob Dylan tribute was quite simply a tour de force. Far from being just a nod to Bob it was a fitting homage to one of the geniuses of modern music.
The choice of cover versions was stunning , revealing the breadth of wordplay so typical of Dylan.
It got me thinking, though, about pastiches of Bob Dylan like the following three which spring to mind:
Suzanne Vega’s Chambermaid aka. I Want You. Dan Bern’s Thanksgiving Day aka. Desolation Row and Reg Meuross’ Shelley’s Heart aka. Chimes of Freedom . Maybe the last not a pastiche, simply the use of a common melody. Oh dear, a whole new study.
Keep up the good work. Sundays at 7 are great again.
